San Diego Brush Whackers supports Rachel’s Women Center. Our
members collect shampoo, cream rinse, lotion and toiletries throughout the year to donate. We also give a monetary donation once a year.
Another way we contribute is our “Panty Raffle”, which is held at our
monthly Paint-Ins. One of our members paints something of their choosing to be raffled off. Attendees of the Paint-In, if they want to participate, bring packaged ladies panties to receive a raffle ticket for each item. We draw from those tickets and there is one lucky winner of the painted piece. All of the items collected are taken to Rachel Center. Brush Whackers supports the Monarch School for unhoused youth as our designated Children’s Charity Project. Canvas tote bags are provided to our members to paint designs of all varieties for Boys and Girls from Kinder to Grade 12. The kids use them for carrying their belongings, storing items where they live , shopping events at the school and more. Please consider painting a bag .
